Let love last
Promised a book post a few posts back. Before, my money would slowly shrink because I was so hooked in reading. Now I am slowly losing reading time due to school. I’d kill to have a week wherein I could just relax, go out to the mall with friends, and read. But I’m not gonna complain, school has also been fun. Anyway. Here are a few of my latest reads:
Room by Emma Donoghue
A story of 5-year-old Jack who sees the Room as his world. Room is where he was born and where he and his Ma eat, sleep, play and learn. Room is home to Jack but to Ma, it’s the prison where she’s been held since she was nineteen - for seven long years. Through her fierce love for her son, she has created a life for him in that eleven-by-eleven-foot space. But as Jack ages and his curiosity grows, Ma knows that Room cannot contain either one any longer. I was hesitant to read this book at first. When I read the back I was wondering, how this book would turn out since it would be narrated by a five year old. But once again, curiosity took over me and I was fascinated. The way the author managed to capture a realistic child’s voice without making the book too complex nor too simplistic. The book was well thought of. Two thumbs-up for this. I encourage you guys to grab a copy :)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The story tells of Scout and Jem’s childhood in Alabama and how series of events shook their innocence, shaped their character, and taught them about human nature. One classic modern lit I was able to read just recently. That’s the one word that stuck to me as I was munching through this book: classic. Another addition to my library!

I did a shoot with the folks over at Most High Co. recently. It was mainly for promotional material and their first collection. The shoot went according to plan, and we even got to squeeze in a few fun photos in between. The people over at Most High Co. haven’t released all of the promotional posters yet. I am giving you an exclusive sneak peek after the jump. It’s not all of it, but it will be enough.

Starbs

Thank God this week’s workload was light. Had three 5-hour breaks this week. Spent it on food trips with my blockmates and friends, movie marathons in the classrooms, and in the library to catch up on some zzz’s. On Thursday, I ended up café hopping with the girls.

It rained cats and dogs all week. We had to watch our steps in case we stepped on a poodle (LOL sorry, I just had to).

Meet Ina! One of the funniest girls in the block. Could’ve been a nice picture but she was making us laugh again hahaha So glad to be using my Blackberry again!! (Though that’s Anna’s in the pic)
